WHY IT ALL STARTED

"Thousands of students come to the United States each year in pursuit of scholarly ambitions. They receive different types of training and many emerge as highly competitive in academia. During their journey in a foreign land, many must face unforeseen hardships of severe magnitude caused by accidents and the like. They, and their families in a remote land, find themselves helpless to a point where transporting the mortal remains of the student back to their home becomes impossible. Others surviving the trauma but a victim of emotional stress need help. To address this need we thought of developing ScholarGiving. ScholarGiving would engage foreign students, researchers, and the community around them to give. This lesson of giving is an important element of scholarly development anyway, we thought. They would give to the community around them and to people in need worldwide. The same resources would help the scholar themselves when they needed help."
